Articulated Forklifts

Articulated in short

An articulated forklift unloads a container outside and stacks indoors on one set of solid tyres. Its mast swings through 210° instead of the truck turning, so it works in aisles from 1.9 m and lifts 2.0–2.5 t to 12.5 m — with no guide rail and no second machine for the yard.

One truck for the yard and the aisle: 210° articulating mast, solid tyres and a turning radius small enough to stack in aisles from 1.7 m.

Why this family exists

Built around the load, not the catalogue

Most sites handle incoming goods with one truck and put them away with another, because a counterbalance truck cannot enter a narrow aisle and a reach truck cannot work on the yard. Every transfer between the two is labour, time and a chance of damage.

An articulated truck removes the handover. Solid rubber tyres let it work on concrete, asphalt and dock levellers; a mast that articulates through 210° lets it stack in aisles from 1.7 m wide once it is inside. Capacity is 2.0 to 2.5 tonnes with lift heights to 12.5 m, which is enough for the majority of distribution and manufacturing sites.

It is not a replacement for a heavy counterbalance truck doing bulk handling on rough ground — but for container unloading, dock work and high-density put-away, it frequently does the job of two machines and pays for itself in double handling alone.

What every unit includes

  • 210° mast articulation for stacking in aisles from 1.7 m
  • Solid rubber tyres for yard, dock and warehouse floor
  • Adjustable fork spread for different pallet standards
  • AC drive motors 16.3 / 18.5 kW with 13 % laden gradeability
  • 48 V and 80 V battery options up to 900 Ah
  • Cold-store specification available for freezer work
  • CE declaration, manual pack and spare-parts list

One truck, two jobs

Unload the container outdoors, drive inside and put away in a narrow aisle without changing machines or double handling.

210° articulation

The mast swings rather than the truck turning, which is what allows stacking in aisles that would stop a counterbalance truck.

12.5 m lift, 2 t

Full narrow-aisle reach capacity with the height to match modern high-bay racking.

Gradeability 13 %

Enough power to climb ramps and dock levellers fully laden, so site layout is not a constraint.

Typical applications

Container unloading and dock work

Straight from the container to the racking position on one machine.

Mixed indoor / outdoor yards

Where the same pallet travels from a yard stack to an indoor narrow aisle.

Food, drink and cold chain

Cold-store executions for freezer put-away and order picking.

Manufacturing inbound stores

Raw material received outdoors, marshalled indoors, without a second truck.

Yard to aisle on one set of tyres

Yard to aisle on one set of tyres

An articulated truck unloads the container outside, then articulates its mast 210° and stacks inside the aisle — no second machine, no double handling.

Outdoor unloading, indoor put-away

Outdoor unloading, indoor put-away

Solid tyres take the truck across the yard and dock; the 210° mast then articulates to stack indoors, so no pallet is handled twice.

Fleet staged for container loading

Fleet staged for container loading

Units are run in, filmed and staged together so a mixed fleet ships in one container with a single set of manuals and spares.

Articulated — questions buyers ask

Is an articulated truck a replacement for a counterbalance truck?

+

For most yard-to-rack flows, yes — with the added ability to work in aisles a counterbalance truck cannot enter. It is not intended for bulk earthmoving, attachment work, or the heaviest outdoor duties above 2.5 t.

Does it need guide rails in the aisle?

+

No. The articulating mast does the work that a guide rail does on a VNA truck, so an existing aisle can be used without floor or racking modification. That is the main reason sites choose it over a VNA system.

What is the minimum aisle width?

+

The SF-2000M stacks in aisles from 1.9 m. The SF-2500M reaches 1.7 m with an 800×1200 mm pallet, which is the tightest in the articulated range.

Can it handle different pallet standards?

+

Yes — fork spread is adjustable, so a mix of pallet sizes is handled without changing the fork carriage. That matters in 3PL operations where pallet standards change between customers.

How steep a ramp can it climb laden?

+

13 % laden and 11 % unladen, with AC drive motors of 16.3 or 18.5 kW. That covers typical dock levellers and yard ramps without limiting load or speed.
